KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell value the important benefits of antibiotics for human and animal welfare and overall wellbeing. Our brands have been working with our suppliers to minimize the use of antibiotics important to human medicine in poultry.
All of our U.S. brands will comply with the new U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines to minimize antimicrobial resistance by January 1, 2017. This means our U.S. suppliers are removing medically important antimicrobials used for production purposes and ensuring that the use of such drugs for therapeutic treatment is overseen by a licensed veterinarian.
